More about this artwork:
This print shows the spider plant, Chlorophytum comosum, a popular house plant named for dangling plantlets resembling spiders hanging from a thread. In the native habitat In known for its curving stems bearing young plantlets (or spiderlings!). In their native habitat of South Africa, spider plants self-propagate readily as a ground cover. Spider plants are a member of the asparagus family, their water-filled roots are edible and they have delicate white or yellow insect-pollinated flowers that grow into small fruits containing seeds.
